THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

However, there’s been a few strange developments: a shadowy figure is trailing him and his seizures are now accompanied by strange combinations of numbers in his head. After a few breathless chase scenes through Williamsburg, the stranger materializes at Sam’s new job. He is Theo Panagopoulos, acclaimed alien hunter and long-time colleague of Sam’s recently assassinated father, Stephen Timmerman. Abandoned at birth by a man he never met, the cynical Sam initially declines the invitation to Stephen’s Sedona memorial. But when Theo tempts him with the possibility of an epilepsy cure left in his father’s research, Sam agrees to travel to the Arizona desert with the big-haired, loquacious conspiracist.

EFFECTED

Ida and Hunter are a mess, worn out, dirty, coated in blood, and their day is only half over. They are the owners of Spider Island Make Up Effects Studio, in Los Angeles California, and they spend their days making monsters, sculpting zombies, and building beasts.

With the help of their lovable stoner model builder Green and audacious studio manager Ozi, Spider island is responsible for TV’s most popular zombie television show, The Rising. Yet unlike their undead creations, Ida and Hunter have larger goals aside from fake brains. When an offer comes in for a big budget horror film, the two girls must assemble some new faces if they are going to beat out the rival studios for the contract.

Effected is a dark comedy about the people who design and bring your dreams and nightmares to life. They build Iron Man, not Tony Stark. They sew up Chuckie and give him a knife. They create the kidney, liver, lungs, and eyes stolen from unsuspecting college kids on vacation.

Subway wasn't even running. But I fucking made it. Only one there. And he shows up and he shakes my hand, and says to me, "Kid, thank you, Merry Christmas, but we're closed, and Jesus, you are destroying that radish". " - Davis
